Richard J. (Dick) Wilson |
Richard J. (Dick) Wilson was born in Jefferson City, the son of Joseph and Bernadette Wilson. Dick is a 1965 graduate of Helias High School. Following high school, Dick attended Lincoln University where he earned a degree in business administration, then attended the University of Wisconsin Graduate School of Banking. He served in the United States Army Reserve. Dick is married to the former Nancy Botsch, and they have 3 children: Timothy, Bradley and Elizabeth Ann. Dick and his family are members of St. Joseph parish.
Dick was an active student at Helias, serving as football manager and statistician for the basketball team. His involvement with Helias has extended far past his high school days to the present. He served on the Helias High School Foundation Board of Directors from 1980 until 1994 and was president of the Foundation in 1986. He was the campaign chairman in 1982.
Dick is president of Jefferson Bank of Missouri, and he is a diligent community and organization volunteer. He has served the community as president of Jefferson City Chamber of Commerce. He served the United Way from 1980 - 1986 and was campaign vice-chairman and president. Dick has been serving on the board of directors for St. Mary's Health Center Foundation since 1992, and he served as president for two years. He also served on St. Mary's Health Center Board of Directors from 1992 - 2002. He has been on the board of Directors for Rural Missouri Inc. since 1982 where he has been secretary from 1998 to the present, and he is chairman of the Small Business Administration Committee.
In 1978, Dick received the Jaycees Distinquished Service Award, and in 1979, he was one of the Jaycees Ten Outstanding Missourians.
