Announcing the 2010 Helias Hall of Fame presented for outstanding achievement and service to Helias High School.

 

Rob McCurren
 

Rob McCurren, son of Robert and Jane McCurren, was born in Mexico, Missouri. He attended Helias High School and graduated in 1968. He attended Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield. Rob is married to the former Paula Chinn, and they have 3 children: Rob IV, Robyn Freeman (Don) and Nikolas. All of Rob and Paula's children have gone to Helias. Nikolas is currently attending Helias. Rob and Paula have 4 grandchildren. Rob is regional sales manager for Dr. Pepper/7-Up Bottling Group. He oversees and manages sales and distribution for 60 counties in Missouri and Illinois. Rob and his family are members of Immaculate Conception parish.

Rob was involved in football and wrestling as a student at Helias, and he has continued to be an enormous support to Helias High School all his life. He has served as Athletic Booster president and chairman of the Helias Foundation Fund Drive. He was one of the original founders of the Helias Foundation Golf Tournament, and he still serves on the committee. Rob also served on the original committee to raise funds and to oversee the building of the James L. Rackers Field House.

The Jefferson City community has been the recipient of Rob's volunteerism. He is a past member of the Jefferson City Jaycees and Knights of Columbus, Council #1054. He is past president of Jefferson City Right to Life, and he has served as officer of the PAL league for 30 years. Rob has served as coach for American Legion baseball.

At Immaculate Conception Church, Rob is a Holy Name member and a team leader for Capital Campaign. He also serves as coach of multiple youth sports.
