Clemens W. Dulle |
Clemens W. Dulle was born in Jefferson City, the son of William and Anna Dulle. He attended St. Peter's school in Jefferson City. Clemens was married to Frances Maasen Dulle, and they were the parents of 8 children: Ruth Ann Schneiders (Don), Mary Sue Mueller, Carolyn Case (Bill), Clem Dulle, Jr. (deceased), John Dulle (Kathy), Jeane Bacon (Dick), Jim Dulle(Jeanette) and Steve Dulle (Diane). Mr. and Mrs. Dulle have 30 grandchildren. Clemens and Frances were members of St. Joseph Cathedral where Clemens was a charter member.
Mr. Dulle attended St. Peter's school, and after his 10th grade year in high school, he began working at Jefferson City Coca Cola Bottling Company as an errand boy and worked his way up to President of the Company. Eventually, Clemens also served on the board of directors of the Missouri Bottlers Association. In addition to his dedication to his work, he began a lifelong commitment to community, church and Helias.
Clemens was the first president of the Helias High School Board and was a co-chair of the first Helias High School Executive Committee Fund Drive which included 26 other members divided evenly from the two parishes in Jefferson City. He also was a Knight of St. Gregory which was the first group named in Jefferson City after the diocese was established by Pope John XXIII.
Jefferson City and its community were the recipients of many of Clemen's volunteer services and his time.He was chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Jefferson City Housing Authority with Dulle Towers named in his honor. He served on the board of directors and as president for Jefferson City Chamber of Commerce; served as chairman of the board and director of Jefferson Bank of Missouri; served as chairman of the local United Fund; board member of Mutual Savings and Loan Association; member and secretary of the Missouri State Savings and Loan Commission; board member of Lake of the Ozarks Boy Scout Council; board member of Greater Jefferson City Executive Committee. Clemens was a member of the Father Vogelweid Cemetery Board and president of the Diocesan Council of Catholic Men. He also attained Fourth Degree in the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of St. Mary's Hospital Advisory Board and served on the executive committee for the hospital's expansion.
Mr. Dulle passed away on November 15, 1971, after a lifetime of service to his church, community and Helias High School.
