It is a very simple formula: the more money we can raise, the more opportunities and successes for the students of Helias!

HELIAS FOUNDATION 2008 FUND DRIVE    --    "A Giving Tradition - A Lasting Legacy"
The Helias Foundation drive, established more than 30 years ago, begins April 19-August 31 and continues to ensure that Helias will remain affordable to those students in the Jefferson City area. Helias High School now educates students from over 22 area parishes. The Foundation has raised over $2.75 million over the past 33 years through the generosity of friends, parents, alumni and local businesses. By supporting the drive, the foundation will assist with financial obligations of today and remain viable for years to come.

The 2008 Foundation Fund Drive is themed "A Giving Tradition - A Lasting Legacy." This year's goal of $265,000 will assist with the growing financial obligations for our current enrollment of 870 students. These obligations include capital improvements, daily maintenance and keeping teacher salaries competitive.

Roger Dudenhoeffer is the 2008 drive chair-person. He and his wife Jane have two children, Ashton, a freshman at Helias, and Trent, a 6th grader at St. Joseph Cathedral School. Roger is employed as a Sr. Vice President at Jefferson Bank. Tina (Rost) Hoey is this year's vice-chair. Tina is a 1987 graduate of Helias. She and her husband John have two children, Mallorie, 13 and Jack, 8. Tina is employed as a Vice President at Hawthorn Bank. The Foundation Board President is Rob Goth, a 1978 Helias graduate.

This is the first year for the Helias Class Challenge. See Annual Fund Drive for more information on this exciting competition.

You can see the 5 classes with the highest amount of donations at the right. For a complete list of all classes, click Annual Fund Drive, Running Totals to see how donations are shaping up throughout the drive.

Want to make your donation now? You can use the return envelope from your fall or spring foundation newsletter to send in your donation, or click Ways to Give, Donate Online, and pay securely online with credit or debit card. You will have peace of mind that you have done your part to help your class (and in knowing that you won't be called and solicited for a donation by a classmate in the near future)!

Tax-deductible donations may be sent to Helias Foundation, P.O. Box 694, Jefferson City, MO 65102-0694.
